Details about ongoing and recently completed policing and crime reduction-related research at master’s degree level and above.
About the research projects map
The research projects map provides summaries of research projects and evaluations, at master’s degree level and above, which have been shared by researchers. It has been developed to:
- enable knowledge sharing
- identify potential knowledge gaps in policing and crime reduction-related research
- assist researchers, decision makers and practitioners to locate one another so that they can identify areas of mutual interest
- decrease the risk of duplication
- increase the potential for collaboration
How to use the map
Use the filters to see ongoing and completed research projects across the UK related to policing and crime reduction. To search and view a list of projects, select the project list view.
You can also find summaries of relevant randomised control trials (RCTs).

- ongoing or completed (no more than two years before submission)
Details of research projects are kept on the map for up to 10 years.
For completed projects to be shared on the map, they must:
- have been completed no more than two years before submission
- be accompanied by proof of completion, for example, a link to a published research article or a dissertation
Researchers are invited to share eligible research outputs, such as dissertations and journal articles with the National Police Library.
