Radio frequency propagation survey (RFPS) is the practice of measuring cellular and wifi radio transmissions and matching them against call data to help determine where a mobile phone or wifi-enabled device was located at a particular time.

Aims
To equip learners with the skills to plan and carry out RFPS surveys and to present findings both in an evidential report and in court.
Objectives
Learners who successfully complete the course will be able to:
- describe the role and responsibilities of the RFPS technician
- understand and explain network, cellular and wifi data principles
- describe the process for planning a survey
- demonstrate the practical use of tools in carrying out a survey
- identify the steps taken to create a radio frequency survey report and demonstrate preparation and presentation of results
Methods of delivery
The course includes both theory and practical elements. The course is trainer-led and delivered to a maximum of eight delegates.
