Refresh the theory and practical training of the RFPS technician course.
This course forms part of continual professional development training for delegates who have completed the radio frequency propagation survey (RFPS) technician course. It is recommended that you complete the online, theory modular course prior to attendance on the advance technician course.
This course is designed to refresh the theory and practical training of the RFPS technician course, but also looks at some aspects in more detail. It will include a practical exercise and both the theory and practical elements will be formally assessed.
Aim
To develop further the learner’s knowledge and experience of RFPS surveying.
Objectives
On successful completion of this course learners will be able to:
- understand and explain cellular network topology and the cell selection process
- demonstrate the process for planning a survey
- demonstrate effective RFPS survey methodology
- analyse and critically examine RFPS survey results
- discuss converting RFPS survey results into an evidential report
- understand the role of the expert, what can be said vs what can't be said
- SOP refresher training
Methods of delivery
Trainer-led, classroom-based theory sessions and an off-site practical exercise.
Qualification eligibility |
Anyone who has completed the RFPS technician course (or equivalent) and has had six months’ experience of carrying out RFPS surveys in their own organisation. This course replaces the previous practitioner and assessment course and will include a formal assessment of the theory and practical elements. The assessment is to help evidence the competence of the practitioner for accreditation purposes. |
