The third module in a four-step process to becoming a digital media investigator (DMI).
The Hydra module takes place in an immersive, interactive environment and aims to consolidate prior learning.
Aim
To consolidate the core skills required to perform the role of DMI effectively.
Objectives
On successful completion of this course learners will have:
- demonstrated a thorough grasp of the investigative opportunities presented by the exploitation of digital data
- shown they can formulate and record a digital strategy
- shown the ability to make effective decisions to support a senior investigating officer
- demonstrated the ability to respond dynamically to a rapidly developing investigation

The course takes place in an immersive, interactive environment and is delivered to a maximum of 12 delegates.

Learners will have completed the the Digital investigators foundation module (formerly DMI) 5-day course. |

Prerequisites |
This course is open to anyone who has been selected to carry out the duties of a digital media investigator and who has successfully completed the digital investigations foundation course, followed by a minimum period of one months workplace-based assessment. |

Officers and staff undertaking the role of digital media investigator within a dedicated unit or who have responsibilities for digital media investigation as part of their role. |
