A reference group supports the police leadership commission and includes policing stakeholders who provide engagement and consultation on the work of the commission. Other members of the reference group provide relevant expertise and insight.
Role and purpose
The reference group will:
- receive regular updates on the progress of the commission’s work
- provide advice and commentary to the commission, contributing at roundtable events when relevant
- provide support as required in the development of review recommendations
- respond to general requests for advice or expertise from the commission
- represent the views of the stakeholder group they represent
