Performance support toolkit

Guidance and resources to help forces and partners understand, improve and share practice in police performance.

The performance support toolkit, developed by the College and the Home Office, is a core part of the government’s commitment to raising performance and standards across policing, ensuring that performance concerns are identified early and that forces have access to appropriate support.

It provides guidance and practical tools to help forces:

  • understand the causes of performance concerns
  • plan and deliver effective improvements
  • embed sustainable good practice
  • share knowledge across the community

If you have any questions about the toolkit, email evidence-basedperformanceimprovement@college.police.uk
