This course will enable learners to understand how to conduct router examinations and wifi RF surveys.
Aims
To equip learners with the skills to exploit the opportunities relating to wifi data sources and to conduct router examinations.
Objectives
On successful completion of this course learners will be able to:
- understand wifi network elements and topology
- understand the principles of wifi analysis and explain why it is conducted in a law enforcement agency
- understand and demonstrate how to conduct a wifi survey
- understand and explain the evidential information available from wifi and other sources
Methods of delivery
The course is trainer-led and classroom-based and includes many practical exercises. It is delivered to a maximum of 10 delegates.

Learners in the role of digital media investigator within a dedicated unit or who have responsibilities for digital media investigation as part of their role must have successfully completed the digital media investigator (DMI) Initial learning programme, or another course that provides training to the same level and in the same subjects. |
