Interrogate a computer with limited technical knowledge.
Aims
The course will give students with limited technical knowledge the ability to interrogate a computer.
The software allows for a list of predefined keywords to be searched for, providing a list of file locations where those keywords are found.
Objectives
By the end of this course the students will be able to:
- use field search to ascertain the contents of the offenders' machine
- explain the impact of field search on the examined computer
- explain the four ACPO principles
- interpret created, accessed and modified dates
The course will use the latest version of field search.
