Deputy Chief Constable Maggie Blyth has been appointed by the National Police Chiefs' Council as the national police lead for tackling violence against women and girls.
The full-time role will see DCC Maggie Blyth agreeing and delivering a new police strategy that will focus on interventions to prevent violence, target perpetrators and ultimately achieve justice.
DCC Blyth was promoted to assistant chief constable in May 2019 and her current portfolio is local policing and public protection across Hampshire. Previously, DCC Blyth worked in the Probation Service, specialising in youth justice and local government child protection services.
