On 27 March the government announced the Anti-Social Behaviour Action Plan, which includes measures to provide law enforcement and other agencies with additional tools to combat anti-social behaviour.
The plan will fund 16 areas in England and Wales to support new hotspot police and enforcement patrols in areas with the highest rates of anti-social behaviour, or to trial a new Immediate Justice scheme that provides swift and visible punishments.
A select few areas will trial both interventions. After the initial stages, both schemes will be implemented across England and Wales starting in 2024.
