Intelligence managers' course

Preparing individuals to perform the role of intelligence manager.

This course is for people in law enforcement who perform the role of either:

  • intelligence manager
  • intelligence unit supervisor

This course supports the intelligence professionalisation programme (IPP). The training content aligns with the relevant learning standards.

Course content

  • Managing intelligence and an intelligence unit.
  • Subject matter expert input on disclosure, digital intelligence, the use of sensitive intelligence and role of a sensitive intelligence unit.
  • Review of an intelligence package.

Prerequisites
  • You should be familiar with the national decision model, the national intelligence model and the national briefing model.
  • Self-directed study is required before attending the course. This involves completing a provided workbook for sign-off by your line manager.
