Force Crime Registrar

The programme aims to provide learners with the knowledge for the role of Force Crime Registrar

The programme aims to give Force Crime Registrar's (FCR) the knowledge to be able to deliver accurate statistics that are trusted by the public and puts the needs of the victims at its core.

FCR's will act as the final arbiter in the application of Home Office crime reporting, ensuring consistency of crime recording in England and Wales. FCR's will audit crime records and understand the need to maintain current knowledge of legislation. 

FCR's will act as a conduit between their organisation and external agencies in relation to crime recording. FCR's will be the force expert of crime recording matters.

Duration

This is a 5-day, classroom-based learning programme. There will be presentations and exercises covering the Home Office Crime Recording. Trainers will work with delegates through work-based scenarios to enable insight and interpretation of the rules. Portfolio of work is to be completed to demonstrate occupational competency upon return to force.
