Have your say on how the College can best support policing

We want to hear from you about how we can best support policing to keep people safe. Our survey helps us regularly review how we’re doing.

This year, the College survey will also form part of a comprehensive review of how the College works and can best support everyone in policing. The findings from the survey will help us to effectively support policing and allow us to understand, and focus on, the areas which matter most to the service.

We want to hear from all officers, police staff and volunteers across the service as your feedback is crucial to helping us understand how we can work better together to keep people safe.

How to take part

All officers and staff will be emailed a link to take part in the survey. The survey takes about 10 minutes and can be completed on any device, including a mobile phone. Officers and staff will have the option to save their progress at any point.

As the professional body for policing we want to support everyone across the service and we can only do that effectively if we listen to, and act on, their views and opinions.

The College survey gives us an opportunity to get direct feedback from the police workforce on a range of topics including professional development, wellbeing and leadership.

We want to understand more about how aware the service is of the College’s work and ensure our products and services are as relevant and useful as possible to officers and staff so we can best support their professional development.

The College’s comprehensive review

The new chair of the College of Policing board, Nick Herbert (Lord Herbert of South Downs), has launched a fundamental review of the College’s work.

Our survey is one of the ways you can contribute to the review. In addition to this we have launched a call for evidence and we will be carrying out a series of interviews and focus groups with frontline officers and staff.
